Ighalo, who scored 17 goals in 42 appearances last season, has been linked with a move away this summer. Watford turned down a £38m offer from the Chinese side Shanghai SIPG for the striker at the end of June with the owner, Giampaolo Pozzo, adamant that he is not considering selling the 27-year-old.

The scheduled arraignment of a businessman, Mr. Aliyu Abubakar, before a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory on charges of criminal trespass and mischief was stalled due to the absence of the accused in court on Wednesday.
The name of the accused had been mentioned in a yet-to-be-concluded investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission into alleged fraud in the allocation of Oil Prospecting Licence (OPL) 245, which is said to be the largest oil well in Africa.

One little girl dissolved into a screaming fit as a lioness tried to eat her on live TV in Mexico.
The disturbing incident unfolded on women’s show known as Con Sello de Mujer.

The toddler and her mum are seen sitting with the presenters, the lion and its trainers. Everything appears to be going fine but as the baby begins to whine, the lioness suddenly loses it and lunges at her, she bites down the child's leg and try to claw at it. The big cat had to be dragged off the terrified little girl by its trainers. They can be heard saying in Spanish: “Relax, relax, relax. The man has been identified with FBI facial recognition as Steve from Virginia. They have safely taken him off the side of the building into police custody. The reason for his stunt hasn't been revealed yet. He started climbing from the 5th floor and he was grabbed at the 21st floor after several failed negotiations with the police. A YouTube video of the climber under the name Leven Thumps has been released. In the video, he said he wanted to get the attention of Donald Trump but knew he wouldn't get it, hence his plan to climb his building.

The Kogi State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) yesterday said it performed mass burial for a total of 16 persons killed over the weekend in a fatal road accident along Lokoja-Gegu-Abuja highway.

The FRSC Sector Commander Mr Ogochukwu Ugboma, said the victims were buried in a mass grave at Alewu village on the highway, because their identities could not be ascertained as they were burnt beyond recognition.

The Enugu Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested three persons: Chukwuma Charles Eze, Ogechi Emeka Okwuosa and Anokwuru Miriam Iheoma,(F) in a case of impersonation and attempt to obtain money by false pretences from the Anambra State Secretary to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Prince Casmir I. Ajulu. 
The arrest of the trio came on the heels of a petition that a text message was purportedly sent on 26th March, 2016 by the Acting Executive Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu to Ajulu’s phone requesting him to send a list of names of House of Representatives designates that want their Certificate of Return for the last election held in Anambra State.

 Nigerians should prepare for another increase in the pump prices of petrol, due to the continued scarcity of foreign exchange to finance the importation of the product, oil marketers have said.
According to them, the United States dollar hit an all-time high last week, as it exchanged for N400 at the parallel market.
Worried by the development, the marketers say if not urgently addressed, the pump prices of petrol will not remain at the approved rates.

A recent study published in the British Journal of Psychology suggests that there is a direct link between altruism and sex. It means that nicer people get more sex than those who behave badly.
Their study involved 192 women and 105 men. They were asked what nice things they did – things like how often they donated blood, whether they give money to charity and lots more.
